If you’re just getting into hydro flight or going to be renting out a jet ski with 130 horses will do. But if you really want to enjoy this sport you definitely need a powerful jet ski, one that can lift a rider well over 20 or more feet above water. There are many great jet skies available with horse power rating of 200+. If you are planning on purchasing a powerful jet ski for hydroflight sports, we recommend staying between 200 and 260 HP. Anything more than 260 HP is a waste of money.

Hi Dustin, your jet ski will work but it is considered on the low power end. A 150 lb. person will go up to about 10 feet if using the entire hose. If you cut the hose from 65 feet to 45 feet you can go much higher and heavier people will fly 15 to 20 feet.
